LASIK is performed with the patient seated in a reclining chair in an outpatient surgical suite. First the eye is numbed with a few drops of topical anesthetic. An eyelid holder (called a speculum) is placed between the eyelids to keep them open and prevent you from blinking. Step I : Using an instrument called
microkeratome a thin flap of corneal tissue is made
and folded back. |
We are an ISO 9001:2000 Certified
Organization. Health of your eyes is critical and their
safety is a fundamental requirement.
Our Laser State of Art ALLEGRETTO WAVE EYE-Q (400Hz)
system has the following advantages compared to other
systems. It is a FDA approved machine.
▪ Safety
Perfect Pulse Technology : This sophisticated technology
ensures that the entire treatment and each pulse of the
laser beam are completely controlled.
Eye Tracker: It constantly follows the eyes position. Laser
is only released if the eye is centered. So even when your
eye moves, the treatment remains perfectly centered.
Cyclotorsion control technology controls the eyes rotational
movement.
▪ Precision : This laser uses a very small laser beam
that shapes the eyes surface like a delicate brush. The
smooth shape of the beam creates an even surface across the
entire eye, once again shortening healing times and
providing precise results.
▪ Performance : With wave light Eye-Q 400 H2,
technology, the actual treatment time last only a few
seconds compared to often longer procedures (average 10-12
Sec) This faster technology gives shorter exposure for flap
and cornea, which in turn, reduces the risk of infection.
Also a quick treatment will reduce the healing and recovery
time, gives greater stability of post-operative results.
▪ Quality of Vision : This laser gives a better
quality of vision especially at night and with regards to
depth perception and contrast sensitivity.
▪ Superior Results : NASA Approves advanced LASIK for
Astronauts in 2008: NASA's approval is further evidence that
today's LASIK exceeds all established standards of safety
and effectiveness. NASA followed the Naval Aviation Clinical
studies closely with a particular interest in both safety
and quality of vision under extreme conditions.
▪ Advanced Lasik was proven to provide excellent safety
with consistent visual results of 20/20 or better.
LASIK was able to withstand even the most extreme rigors of
warfare and flight. All surgical procedures have risks, but
with this exceptional track record, the average consumer has
nothing to fear from “LASIK”
